Audubon Country Club’s new Courtside Café was carefully designed to be consistent with the classical detailing and architecture of the existing clubhouse for a cohesive and unified look but with a new, fresh, contemporary feel. The existing single-story building was purely functional as a bathhouse for the pool and an indoor lounge for relaxation between tennis sets. The new two-story 18,000 square foot Lifestyle Center with swim, tennis and fitness offerings also has a casual indoor/outdoor dining area with gathering bar.

The new Courtside Café features a display kitchen, poolside dining, and increased outdoor lounging areas with cozy fire tables to extend the use of the facility as the sun sets. TVs can be viewed from many angles with amenities including ceiling fans, recessed lighting, retractable overhead screens, and speakers in the exposed timber joist ceiling. The same ceiling finishes and décor is carried in the outdoor area for a consistent look.

The second-floor balcony provides space for outdoor fitness such as Tai Chi or yoga, or a small social gathering.

The new fitness center provides several advantages, including increased capacity – allowing twice as many members to utilize the space at the same time, while freeing up more than 5,000 square feet of valuable space to be repurposed in the main clubhouse.

This project modernizes and expands the club’s fitness offerings which also providing members with a new casual, outdoor dining experience.

According to the GM, “year to date membership sales are extraordinary. As of August 2020, there has been an increase of 300% in membership sales for the time period of September/October 2020 vs. the same time last year.”
