Peacock + Lewis provided the master planning and implementation of phased construction for this community college campus of 6,000 students. The master plan utilizes a fractured traditional grid pattern for the campus, enabling plaza areas to be created between groups of structures. The existing lush subtropical vegetation, combined with a free-form roadway system, softens the formal grid pattern. This main roadway encircles the entire campus with pockets of strategically placed parking, thus allowing an organic growth with automobiles never intersecting pedestrian thorough fares.
