The existing facility is designed in a classic style with central courtyard and reflecting pool. A classic Mizer style colonnade surrounds the courtyard and reflecting pool. The interior was well appointed with cherry stained beams and large French doors and arched windows overlooking the tropical palm tree filled courtyard. Interior finishes and furnishings were replaced to modernize the spaces with a more comfortable, refreshed style and color pallet. Over the years, the interior spaces lost their original charm.

Peacock + Lewis recaptured the elegance of the facility starting with the Entry Vestibule. Drapery panels accentuate the high windows and wood ceiling. Soft seating groups create a welcoming place to greet guests and hold member meetings. The center table with chandelier opens to a conference table. The library is used for group meetings. New furnishings, area rug, lighting and drapery offer comfortable seating for small group meetings or individuals to have a quiet space to unwind and read.

The updated ballroom includes more comfortable stacking chairs, drapery and carpet. The addition of cut-glass chandeliers suits the requirements for elegant dinners. The addition of drapery side panels at the Stage frame the performance area.

The existing screened porch with a classic Mizner space, was underutilized. We freshened up the color pallet to connect with the panoramic view of the courtyard and pool. Adding drapery panels enhances the comfortable feeling of an outdoor room. Utilizing jet engine technology, the single 10’ diameter “Big Ass Fan” keeps a gentle flow of air in this outdoor living space.

Card rooms take their color story from the Mizner style stucco building with a modern twist. Terracotta and grey tones are used in side by side cardrooms using the same carpet but accenting with different coordinating lighting, wall color and chair fabrics. The billiard room and its adjacent card room takes on an appropriate masculine pallet of blue and grey with accents of black and gold to suite the room’s function. The existing pool is extensively used by the membership. Pool restrooms received a full renovation to walls, floors, partitions, lighting and plumbing fixtures to greatly enhance the member experience.
