AWARDS
- 2013 ASID – Best Clubhouse Design Award
Boynton Beach, Florida
This 20,000 sqft Golf Clubhouse located in a private gated community acts as a gathering place for members, their families and guests. The Clubhouse features a Grille Room, Main Dining Room, Golf Shop, Men’s and Ladies Locker Rooms, Men’s and Ladies Card Rooms, Library and Board Room. The overall design concept was to create “timeless elegance.” Maximizing views to the golf courses. A central gallery with a barrel vaulted ceiling leads you to the Living Room, the hub and central gathering space of the club, where members can relax and socialize in comfortable seating awaiting for their guests to arrive. Rich dark wood accents complement a full height painted millwork fireplace with a green onyx stone surround.
The pre-function space features a four door, custom built-in wine closet and a maitre d’ stand with the same green onyx as the fireplace. The 19th hole grille room features warm cypress wood tones in the beamed ceiling, drink rail bar, wood flooring and millwork. Two sets of 10′ high custom designed mill-work pocket doors connect the grille room to the main dining room and the main dining room to the women’s card room, allowing the flexibility to use all three rooms for larger events or closed off for separate events.
The main dining room was given an intimate residential feel with a fireplace similar to the living room with a small inviting soft seating group in front to create intimacy in the large room for everyday use. The main dining room looks out onto the covered terrace which wraps three sides of the clubhouse and allows for panoramic golf course views while dining or relaxing on the lounge seating. Unique high-end finishes and custom millwork were utilized in key areas to create an overall look of “timeless elegance.”
