Construction began in spring 2007 and was completed spring 2008 with an unprecedented high level of utilization by the members since its completion.
The membership of the Lost Tree Club voted with a 82% approval to replace their existing Beach Club with a new facility on the same site. Designed in “Old Florida” Cottage Vernacular, the new building was designed with a main floor elevated six feet above the original building height to capture the best views to the ocean, pool deck and tennis courts, to better withstand coastal storms and to provide covered parking and storage.
A variety of dining options were provided for members and their guests. The main dining room, which is sports casual by day and informal in the evenings, features a two-story wood planked volume ceiling with clerestory light. The perimeter of the room has floor to ceiling glass on the views to the ocean and pool deck with banquettes and a display kitchen on the interior. Outside of the dining room, a covered deck provides pre-function cocktail seating and dining opportunities with views over an event lawn and pool deck to the sea.
Food and beverage service on the covered deck, pool deck and event lawn is facilitated by a uniquely designed outdoor deck bar and walk-up snack bar windows adjacent to the main kitchen
