The existing 60,000 square foot oceanfront Clubhouse has three distinct oceanfront restaurants; The Ocean Room, Terrace Grille and The Beach Club. The new palate of finishes and colors reference the beach, ocean, landscaping a blue sky as viewed from the venues. The restaurant spaces were divided into a variety of intimately scaled spaces utilizing custom banquettes, edge lit acrylic panels, movable millwork and glass panels. The radius shaped ceiling in the ocean room redesigned with millwork ribs and battens referencing sea faring pleasure craft. The network of existing rough stucco beams supporting the three vaults were clad with millwork creating a more elegant finished look to the space.
The ocean movement is the inspiration for the carpet design. A sunken dining space is separated from the Main Restaurant by an edge lit 1 ½” thick acrylic panel. A private dining room comfortably seats a party of twenty. The new Terrace Grille has a direct connection to an outdoor terrace high above the dune line. Blue, copper and white hand painted panels are highlighted below the bar top. A fire pit energizes the outdoor terrace. The Beach Club has retractable doors and can become an open-air dining venue. White painted wood millwork banquettes are designed to create intimate spaces within the restaurant assisting in acoustic absorption. The Turtle Café section of the Beach Club can remain air conditioned while the rest of the Beach Club is open with sliding etched art glass panels. A large buffet area services this casual dining venue.
