Nestled within the iconic Breakers Hotel, is the Flagler Club, a twenty-five room private access, concierge level, VIP experience, or “hotel within a hotel.” Discreetly located in the resort’s top two floors, Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners, LLC was commissioned to renovate the existing twenty-one guest rooms and four suites. The existing guest room and bathroom finishes were extremely traditional and dated. The challenge was to create an open and airy feeling despite the limited and fixed sizes of the existing guest room and bathroom footprints.
The hotel wanted to elevate the guest experience with modern and upscale finishes and furniture. The result was stylish, luxuriously appointed accommodation blending contemporary design with Palm Beach glamour. All the guest room furniture is custom designed and manufactured with a dark walnut stain with a beautiful high gloss finish. Sky blue grass cloth wall covering covers the walls. Spa-like bathrooms feature golden Calcutta marble, rain shower heads and Electric Mirrors (edge lit mirrors with hidden TV’s). Specialty mattresses and bedding were purchased by the hotel for further enhance the guest experience.
