Bear Lakes Country Club received a fresh look while holding on to their traditions. Low ceilings and outdated finishes made the interiors feel dark and enclosed. Raised ceilings and re-purposed existing pecky cypress in a whitewashed finish allowed the spaces to feel larger. The updated color scheme in shades of blue breathed new life into the club. The continuity of color throughout made smooth transitions from room to room. An existing sunken awning patio was raised. Moveable glass doors were added for sweeping views of the golf course opening to a small Juliet balcony. This casual space is the perfect place to grab lunch after golf, have dinner with friends, or just gather around the bar for cocktails. Dark stained millwork throughout the club provides a crisp contrast to the light walls and wallcoverings, chosen to reflect more light. The new design incorporates attractive storage solutions for the bars, serving stations in the dining rooms, pro shop merchandise, locker rooms, and amenities in the wet areas. Creating appropriate storage for the members and staff was key to keeping the clean look inside the club. Dimmable energy efficient and attractive lighting throughout the club highlights the interior details, colors and textures.
