The goal was to refresh 7,000sf of dark, dated and uninviting retail space, along with a café, locker rooms, support offices and exterior terraces of this exclusive private club.
More efficient, expertly designed custom millwork and retail fixturing improved flow and display while freeing up floor space for a more luxurious feel. The main transaction desk was designed to be more efficient while allowing for the latest technology for both retail transactions and court reservations and tracking.
The club had two challenging spaces to both sides of the entry. One side a small, dark café and the other an unused seating/retail area, both isolated from the rest of the shop. Additional café space was required, therefore walls were removed and a partial wall/cube display system was created to separate the spaces while still feeling open. In addition, a large viewing window with counter for seating was added to brighten the space while creating the perfect view to the tennis action on the courts.
The overall retail space is light, bright and contemporary. A blue textured wall covering is accented with crisp white millwork. Furniture imported from Italy with walnut accents elevate the space. An accent color of fresh melon is splashed on the ceiling where a contemporary Italian drum pendant defines the center of the room. The melon accent is carried through artwork and throw pillows.
Custom green walls and comfortable seating were added to the entry to make for a more inviting space.
