Associate I
Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners is searching for an Associate I to join our growing team in our Naples, FL office to support the architectural services in the planning and development of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural design, technical detailing, and project documentation. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on a variety of projects, contributing to all phases of the design and construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of design concepts and solutions that align with project goals and client requirements.
- Prepare and modify architectural drawings, plans, and presentations using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Produce accurate and detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of project documents.
- Assist in the development of technical details that comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Research materials, building systems, and construction methods to inform project design and detailing.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of project goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Participate in project meetings, both internal and with clients, to discuss design progress, address issues, and coordinate efforts.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of drawings and specifications before submission.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to ensure compliance with design intent and project requirements.
- Ensure that all designs and documents comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Take notes, file, support, and follow digital organizational systems.
- Stay updated on relevant industry trends, codes, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
- Excellent design, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a team environment, both orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
