John Lyberger, PGA, CMAA

John Lyberger serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Peacock + Lewis, where he leads the firm’s daily operations and strategic growth as part of the ClubWorks network. A seasoned private club executive with more than three decades of leadership experience, John is recognized for building exceptional teams, elevating member experiences, and guiding organizations through growth and transformation.
Before joining Peacock + Lewis, John held senior leadership positions at several of the country’s most prestigious clubs, including Vice President of Club Operations at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida; PGA Director of Golf at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona; and 20 years as PGA Director of Golf at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, where he oversaw multiple U.S. Open Championships and PGA Tour events.
John is both a PGA of America Professional and a Certified Club Manager through the Club Management Association of America . This distinction held by only a small number of leaders in the industry. He has been recognized as Callaway Golf’s National Golf Professional of the Year, the Middle Atlantic PGA’s Professional of the Year and the PGA National Merchandiser of the Year for private clubs
A graduate of Ferris State University’s PGA Golf Management program with a degree in Marketing, John brings a deep understanding of the private club world, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for helping clients bring their visions to life.
