Team Member Since 2026
Mitchell Casella, EIT, is a Mechanical Engineering Designer. Mitchell focuses on HVAC and plumbing system design. His work includes supporting the design and coordination of mechanical building systems, developing practical and efficient HVAC and plumbing solutions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design process. Mitchell brings a strong mechanical and operations background to his engineering work and is actively working toward earning his Professional Engineer (PE) license with a focus on mechanical/HVAC engineering.
Peacock + Lewis role
Mitchell serves as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Peacock + Lewis Engineering, where he focuses primarily on HVAC and plumbing design. In his role, he assists with the design, development, and coordination of mechanical systems for a variety of projects. His hands-on industrial background gives him a practical perspective on equipment operation, system reliability, maintainability, and constructability that he applies to his building systems design work.
Prior Experience
Prior to entering the MEP consulting industry, Mitchell gained extensive hands-on experience in industrial operations. He worked as a mechanical operator for a water treatment company, where he developed practical experience with mechanical equipment, process systems, maintenance, and facility operations. He later served as a supervisor at the second-largest sugar mill in Florida, gaining experience overseeing industrial operations, personnel, equipment, and production processes. These roles provided Mitchell with a strong understanding of how mechanical systems perform in real-world operating environments and continue to influence his approach to engineering design.
